1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the contractual relationship between Travellio (“we”, “us”, “the Agent”) and the traveller or customer (“you”, “the Client”).

By making a booking, you agree to these Terms and confirm that you have the authority to do so on behalf of all passengers included in the booking.

Travellio acts as a travel agent and not as the principal supplier unless explicitly stated. Your travel arrangements are subject to both these Terms and the relevant supplier’s terms (airline, hotel, etc.).

2. Booking Confirmation

Bookings are only confirmed once Travellio issues written confirmation and full or deposit payment has been received and cleared.

Prices, availability, and fare conditions are subject to confirmation at the time of ticketing.

3. Currency and Pricing

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR/R) and are subject to availability and change without notice until confirmed.

Taxes, surcharges, and exchange rates may fluctuate and affect the total cost of travel.

4. Payments and Deposits

Payment terms vary by supplier and fare. Full payment may be required immediately for airline tickets to secure fares.

If payment is not received by the specified deadline, Travellio reserves the right to cancel the booking and apply applicable cancellation penalties.

5. Service and Administration Fees

Travellio charges the following standard service fees in addition to supplier fees:

• Booking / Administration Fee: R250 – R500

• Reissue / Revalidation / Refund Processing Fee: R500 (applies once ticket is issued)

• Amendment Fee: R500 per change request (plus airline/supplier penalties)

• Cancellation Fee: R500 – R2,000 (plus supplier penalties)

6. Cancellations and Refunds

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Travellio.

Refunds, when permitted, are subject to the airline’s fare rules and penalties.

Travellio will deduct its own administration fee of R500 from any refund.

Partially used tickets are strictly non-refundable.

Refunds may take 6–12 weeks to process depending on the airline and payment channel.

7. Date and Name Changes

Changes are governed by the fare conditions of each airline.

Where permitted, date changes will incur Travellio’s R500 admin fee plus any applicable fare difference and airline penalties.

Name changes are generally not permitted once a ticket has been issued; a new ticket may need to be purchased.

8. Supplier Schedule Changes

Airlines and suppliers reserve the right to change schedules or routes. Travellio will notify clients of such changes as soon as possible but is not responsible for supplier modifications.

9. Domestic and International Flight Terms

Domestic Flight Terms (Within South Africa):

• Advance pre-seating included in fare.

• No food or drinks included in fare – for sale on board (low-cost airline).

• Date changes permitted in same booking class; if not available, fare difference applies.

• Ticket is non-refundable once issued.

• Once a ticket is issued, Travellio charges a fee of R500 for any date change or refund requests.

International Flight Terms:

• Advance pre-seating not included in fare; seat selection available only during online check-in (opens 24 hours before departure).

• Date change penalty: R3,500 plus any difference in fare/taxes between existing and new flights.

• Refund penalty: R4,500 (only unused tickets can be refunded, partially used tickets are non-refundable).

• Once a ticket is issued, Travellio charges a fee of R500 for any date change or refund requests.

10. Passports, Visas, and Health

It is your responsibility to ensure that all travellers have valid passports, visas, and required travel documents.

Travellio may provide guidance but cannot be held responsible for denied boarding, refused entry, or deportation due to incomplete documentation.

Many countries require that passports be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the date of return.

11. Travel Insurance

Travellio strongly recommends comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical, cancellation, and baggage cover.

Travellio will not be liable for any costs resulting from uninsured travel disruptions.

12. Liability

Travellio acts only as an agent for the airlines and suppliers. Liability for performance rests with the supplier.

Travellio’s liability is limited to the total amount paid to Travellio for the affected booking.

Travellio is not liable for indirect losses, missed connections, or expenses arising from airline schedule changes, delays, or cancellations.

13. Data and Privacy

Travellio collects personal information to process bookings and will only share it with suppliers as required.

By booking through Travellio, you consent to the storage and use of your data in accordance with South African privacy laws (POPIA).

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of South African courts.

15. Acknowledgment

By proceeding with a booking or payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted Travellio’s Terms & Conditions and any applicable supplier rules.
